® injections done at Pomerance Eye Center are prepared and performed either by Gene K. Lee, M.D. or Mark R. Melson, M.D. board-certified M.D.s experienced in the use of Botox
®.
Botox® Cosmetic, or purified botulinum toxin, is an agent that temporarily paralyzes targeted muscles for an average period of 3 to 4 months. When administered properly, treatments can reduce wrinkles on the forehead, crow's feet, and glabellar frown lines between the eyes. In select cases, Botox® may also be used for medical conditions such as Blepharospasm (uncontrolled muscle spasms of the eyelid muscles) and Hemifacial Spasm (twitching of the face muscles).
